In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus is asked "Who is my neighbor?" and responds with the well-known parable of the Good Samaritan. For many, "our neighbor" includes those that live near us, those that share our same faith, or our same ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
“Let it be done to me as you have said.” A picture of Mary who is humble and accepting. A key moment in the history of salvation as Mary gives a loving Yes to all of us and to God.
On this Sunday, where we begin a week of Prayer for Christian Unity, I bring you greetings from the Episcopal branch of the one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church. I truly am grateful for the opportunity to speak with you today.
