“Praised be you my Lord, with all your creatures.” Canticle of the Sun
As “believers, we must constantly feel challenged to live in a way consistent with (our) faith and not to contradict it by (our) actions. (We) are encouraged to be ever (more) open to God’s grace and to regularly draw from our deepest convictions about love, justice and peace (200). Laudato Si, Pope Francis
St. Camillus’ JPIC is currently formed by three committees – English JPIC, Spanish JPIC and the Intercultural JPIC. It is the hope that in a short time a French JPIC will be started. Each committee is comprised of a friar and lay partners in ministry who meet on a regular basis (monthly or bi-monthly) to reflect, plan, animate, and implement responses to the critical justice, peace, and integrity of creation issues that impact our lives as a church and global community in accordance with Scripture, catholic social teaching and the Franciscan charism.
The purpose of the Intercultural JPIC is primarily to facilitate a comprehensive integration of the JPIC efforts within St. Camillus as a whole.
