For many Christians, retreats are the door to a deeper, more enriching communal and personal faith life. St. Camillus offers a variety of retreats: weekends away, days of reflection, and even online. Some retreats are focused on youth, some on young adults, others on adults both young and not so young. Retreats are wonderful ways to step out of the daily routine, reconnect with God, while at the same time connect and share with new and old friends.
St. Camillus has been a multicultural and intercultural parish for years. We hope to build upon these many years of parish traditions and experiences so that we can become even more multicultural and intercultural.
We have been utilizing the word intercultural here for the past year. For some people, it evokes excitement. For others, it evokes fear. We will reflect on what it means to be intercultural; attitudes, knowledge, skills, and tools for intercultural sensitivity and competency; and how to apply them so that our beloved St. Camillus parish and St. Francis International School will be even more profound expressions of the Kingdom of God, the New Creation!
Please join us. Admission is free. One can register by completing the attached sheet and submitting it to the parish office or responding to this e-mail by filling in the blanks below.
Please advise if you have any questions or concerns.
We expect this to be an informative and uplifting experience, so that we may continue to journey together more closely and that our hearts may burn within us, as on the road to Emmaus.
