The Pan-African French speaking community of Saint Camillus, was founded in 2000. It began with the help of the Franciscan friars, at the request of African Catholics who felt the need to gather and to praise the Lord in familiar customs and language. Today the growing community of about 700 includes citizens from 14 African countries and Haiti. Mass is celebrated in French every Sunday at 2:30 PM, as well as every Friday at 7:00 PM.
