This special memorial fund was created shortly after the untimely death of our former beloved pastor, Brother Chris on July 5, 2020. Due to your generosity and a special gift from Brother Chris's family from Long Island, New York--the fund currently has $180,000
in the bank. We are respectfully requesting that our parishioners, our friends and outside institutions help raise the additional $220,000 to meet these costs. Although, we are not currently capable of doing a Capital Campaign --we are more than capable to raise this amount if not more for future construction projects.
During the weekend of July 3/4, we will officially kick off the Brother Chris Posch Fund Campaign to raise funds for repairs to our physical plant. The campaign will officially end on October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi--although we will accept any funds or donations afterwards.
As our devoted parish council member Pat Myers asserts "Together, let's finish Brother Chris's TO DO List." That impressive quote will be put on a label on each of the envelopes that will be distrib uted throughout the pews of our church. We will be raising funds through these envelopes, online giving, special collections in July and August, and do-
nations from outside groups and institutions.
Please join us for the first anniversary Memorial Mass for Brother Chris on Monday, July 5 at 10 am. This Mass will be both Intercultural and livestreamed! Let us honor Brother Chris by participating in this Memorial Mass and contributing to this worthwhile fund in his precious name.
During the weekend of July 10/11, Bill Donnelly, parish finance council chairperson and I will provide an amended version of our parish annual fiscal report for 2020-2021. Thank God we are in reasonably good financial health.
