Parenting Series—ADHD:Saturday, February 8, 9:30 AM in our Camillia Room. “Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in Children Adolescents and Adults.”
This presentation will provide an overview of ADHD signs, symptoms, and treatments. ADHD is a condition that rarely occurs in isolation which presents extra challenges for children, parents, educators, and healthcare providers. Also, there are many misconceptions about what ADHD is and is not. Common myths about ADHD will be discussed. The more common conditions that tend to co-occur with ADHD will be reviewed. Some discussion of medication versus non-medication treatment approaches will be included.
Gary Thompson, the presenter, is a licensed psychologist and coordinator of ADHD evaluation and treatment services for Caritas Counseling Center.
