St. Camillus on The Maryland Catholic Conference news.

We have had a great response to the calls to speak out against legalizing physician assisted suicide so thank you! One parish that went above and beyond is St. Camillus in Silver Spring. On Feb. 20, the pastor, Father Brian Jordan, OFM, personally hand-delivered nearly 1,160 cards signed by parishioners for their legislators. Parishioners come from a number of districts so he did a lot of walking, accompanied by Jenny Kraska, executive director of the Maryland Catholic Conference. Fr. Jordan had the opportunity to talk with several legislators he knew and told us he encourages other pastors to do something like this as well.
The card drive was organized by the parish’s Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation committee. Thank you to the St. Camillus parishioners who took action.

Hemos tenido una gran respuesta a los llamados para hablar en contra de la legalización del suicidio asistido por un médico, ¡así que gracias!
Una parroquia que hizo todo lo posible es San Camilo en Silver Spring. El 20 de febrero, el párroco, el Padre Brian Jordan, OFM, entregó personalmente cerca de 1,160 cartas firmadas por los feligreses para sus legisladores.
