Know Your Parish Council

Get to know your Parish Council members.

Roxana ChirinoRoxana Chirino has been a member of the parish for 14 years. She is a certified cathechist teaching the kindergarten class. She is the mother of 3 wonderful boys and currently lives in Gaithersburg, MD.






Patricia Shukla GomezPatricia Shukla Gomez
has been a parishioner of St. Camillus Church since 2008. She lives in Silver Spring with her husband Paul Fabian and daughter Maria Gomez. She is a physician by profession practicing Internal Medicine and Geriatrics in Maryland. Patricia serves as a volunteer at the St. Camillus Food Pantry, actively participates  in the Bangla Choir group in the church. She is also involved with the activities of the Bangladesh Christian community. 






Beth HoodBeth Hood has been a member of St. Camillus since 2010 and has been involved with RCIY, St. Francis Builds mission trips, and is active with the parish’s assistance to unaccompanied minors. She lives in Silver Spring and has two daughters and is a high school social worker, currently working with newcomer immigrant students. This is her second year on the Parish Council.






Louis KimmakonLouis Kimmakon has been an active member of this parish for 10 years and President of the African French community for 7 years. He resides in Wheaton and is the married father of 2 twin girls now attending college. He is has been working for the past 8 years with a graphic and printing supplier.






Rudy LawrenceRudolph “Rudy” Lawrence is beginning his first year on the Parish Council. Rudy has been a member of St. Camillus for the past 7 years. Rudy is employed with the Federal Aviation Administration and resides in Hillandale, Silver Spring, with his wife Ann Marie Gordon.







Alan MaganAlan Magan lives in Clarksville, where he and his wife, Geralyn, raised 3 wonderful children. Alan works in the food business. He is a St. Camillus lector and also helps out with the Parish Festival, Food Pantry and Farmers' Market. Both he and Geralyn are Secular Franciscans. They also enjoy Irish dancing.






Silvio MbouyoSilvio Mbouyo was recently readmitted to the Parish Council where he serves as the President. Previously, he has served in the Parish Council for 3 years and sits on the French Pastoral Council. He lives with his wife and children in Arbutus. They have been members of the parish since 2007.  Silvio, a Certified Public Accountant, has been involved in several ministries in the French Community of St Camillus, the Young Adults Group, the Youth Choir “Magnificat” and the Lector Group.





Marcelin NgantchouMarcelin Ngantchou lives in the Adelphi area of Hyattsville and has been a parishioner since 2004. This is his second year as a member of the Parish Council. Marcelin is a high school math teacher and currently serves in the French community council,Marie Reine du monde choir,Legion of Mary,Renewal Charismatic, and French committee JPIC.






Russell PereiraRussell Pereira has been a member of St Camillus Church for over 7 years. He has served as a Lector and this is his first year on the parish Council. Russell lives in Silver Spring and has one daughter. Professionally, Russell is a Policy Executive for the Federal Government. His passion lies in his call to service as a Life Coach focused on aligning mind, body, and spirit.





Jim PerreaultJim Perreault lives in Greenbelt and works as an engineer in the area. He has been a parishioner at St. Camillus since 2006 where he has been active in the Young Adult group, the men's group, and St. Francis builds both locally and internationally. He has assisted with the food pantry, the Angel Tree ministry, Alternative Christmas planning, and other small service projects.  He loves the diversity and vibrancy of the St. Camillus parish.  Jim has been on the parish council since 2012 and is currently serving as Vice-President.




Linda Ramirez has attended St. Camillus since childhood. Native to the area, she was born of Guatemalan immigrants and lives in Silver Spring, MD with her family. She works as a government contractor in the Information Assurance field. This is her first year with the parish council and is excited in exploring the various ministries and serve the diverse community.  She's participated in St. Francis Builds missions and this year's Families on a Mission.





Doris Ramos has been an active member of St. Camillus for 5 years and is a member of the Hispanic Committee. She is a Salvadorean and a nurse by profession working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. She has been working with the Latino young adult group Cristo Joven, finishing her one year as coordinator of the group, as well as working with other young adult groups from the Archdiocese in the ministry of Tira La Red . She is in her second year on the Parish Council.





Marco VonhofMarco Vonhof has been a parish member since 2012. He and his wife, Elizabeth, live in the Long Branch area of Silver Spring. Marco is involved with Saint Francis Builds, Habitat for Humanity, and the food pantry.  This is his second year on the Parish Council and is currently serving as Secretary.
